1. Rescue Children
EBMF rescues the children under 14 from at risk specially those who are in child labor sector and are highly vulnerable to be trafficked in land or out. So far, over eight hundred and fifty children have been rescued and safely reintegrated with family between 2007-2017.
2. Safe Home (Transit Home)
EBMF establishes transit home as per necessary. Transit home is also called safe home, where children are taken immediately after rescue. While in transit home children get medical check-up, psycho social counseling and opportunity to excel their new life. Simultaneously, EBMF connects or trace the family members of these children. In transit home a child normally stays for minimum of three months to six months maximum.
3. Reintegration
EBMF formally started the process of reunifying or reintegrating children with their family since 2014. The detail assessment is carried out prior to reintegration to insure whether it would be possible or not. Thereafter, the children are reintegrated with their family/extended family wherever possible. Keeping the children’s interest at priority, we provide them with support for their lifelong welfare and development. Besides these, the organization provides Income Generation (IG) support to the families of reintegrated children.
4. Child Care Home
Children whose reintegration is not possible due to various reasons are cared in one of our small family like homes at our care homes. For this, EBMF currently has two centers: One in Lalitpur district and one in Makwanpur district to provide them a comprehensive care for their overall development.
5. Youth Transition Programme
Basically, the programme is designed for those children who pass Secondary Education Examination (SEE), under SEE and having inappropriate age for the grade and does not have the potentiality in academic activities. This support is provided to those children who pass out from child care homes and for those who are reintegrated with family after rescue. The major goal of Youth Transition Programme is to promote young people towards in-dependency through higher education and vocational training. Under this scheme, several young people have been receiving support from this project for years.
