Transit Home (Safe Home)

Children are placed in a transit home after rescue, where they receive immediate protection, psychosocial counselling, medical care, and basic support. In the transit home, children stay for a period of six months to one year, during which they undergo socialization activities, family tracing, and family reconnection. Their situation is carefully assessed to determine readiness for reintegration. Based on this assessment, children are either reintegrated with their families or referred to a child care home for long-term care and protection.
